Is setup time included in the price?

Yes. You do not pay for setup or load-out time.  Depending on the location and set up
difficulty, we typically arrive 1 hour prior to the start time. Equipment is set up and the
sound is checked long before your first guest arrives.  For nearly every event, this is on our
time.

Top

Do you take breaks?

Our services are truly uninterrupted and non-stop.  From the scheduled start to end
time, the music is continuous. The entire event is carefully managed per your input in
our pre-party planning.  This will insure a smooth flow of activity and remove any hidden
stress factor.

Top

Can we choose the music to be played?

Absolutely!  In the pre-event planning we always ask for your input for the music
format.  We plan the flow of songs to enhance the various elements of your event.
Through many years of experience we have learned that keeping the atmosphere
happy and the dance floor moving is influenced by many factors. This includes not only
the music played, but also the order and style in which the songs are mixed together
and the interaction of the Master of Ceremonies and DJ programming.  Your
preferences and selections are always given the highest priority!

You may provide us with a list of "must play" songs and a list of "play if possible" songs.
We will program all music to create a smooth flow of events and play requests received
from your guests.

Can we have a "do not play" list?

Yes.  This is very important to assuring your enjoyment at your party.  We are always
careful to avoid any selections that could be considered beyond the limits of good
taste.  Any preferences you have will be honored.

What music styles do you offer?

Our present library contains well over 40,000 songs and is continually updated. We
provide the very best of good dance music, including: Rock, Rhythm & Blues (R&B),
Funk, Top 40, Hip Hop, Disco, Reggae, Salsa, and Oldies. With B.F.P. your event is
personalized to meet all expectations.

What if we want a song that you don't have?

We have over 40,000 songs in our library.  This encompasses the widest variety of hits
from the 1960s to the present.  If a selection is not in our current library, we will acquire if
it is available.  You're welcome to provide special music on CD’s to be played.  As you
make your request list, simply indicate which songs you'll be providing. You may bring
your CDs to us at the start of the event and we'll promptly return them to you at the
end.

How loud do you play the music?

One of the greatest complaints about bands and Disc Jockey's alike is that they play
the music too loud.  We believe this should never happen!  We always control the
volume to meet the needs of the event.  The speakers are positioned for proper sound
coverage to allow the music to be powerful enough for comfortable dancing and yet
quiet enough for conversation throughout the rest of the room.

Some venues or events may require additional sound reinforcement.  We size the sound
system to fit the occasion. Your music is presented with all fullness and depth of a live
concert. The audio quality is simply ‘extraordinary’.

Do you carry backup equipment?

Your special event could very well be one of the most memorable days of your life.  In
recognition of this fact, our music and state-of-the-art equipment are of the highest
quality available.  Yet understanding ‘Murphy’s Law’ essential backup equipment is
always on-site to insure you have a remarkable party.

Can we view a live event?

Please contact Anthony and arrangements may be made for you to look in on a
performance.  Please understand all events are not accessible to the general public
and the music format is personalized to meet the client’s wishes.

Will Blue Flame Productions travel to other cities?

Yes. We often travel to other cities and resort locations. For distances greater than one
hour drive time, there may be a small but reasonable fee for the additional hours to
drive to that location.

How early should we arrange for your services?

Simply put...the sooner the better!  Often popular dates can and do book as early as a
year in advance.  Our suggestion is be prepared to sign an agreement as early as 3-9
months before the event.  A timely decision can ensure our availability.  However, some
dates remain open until the month before. So if you're planning an event for next
month, please ask if we are still available.

Do you offer a written agreement or contract?

Absolutely. Our written agreement is straightforward and written in plain English so that
you can understand the terms.  It is signed by both parties and gives you a high level of
protection and dependability.  The deposit and signed agreement officially reserve
your date and of course an executed copy (signed by both parties) will be sent to you
for confirmation.

Are your rates negotiable through price matching or other discounts?

We charge a reasonable rate for a professional performance.  We are confident you will
find our prices to be exceptionally competitive & reasonable.

In some cases there may be points to justify negotiating a lower cost.  We must cover
the business overhead and earn a reasonable fee for the services we render.

We take every engagement seriously and attend to each in a very responsible manner.
When you contract Blue Flame you're not only paying for professional MC DJ
entertainment, you're getting the assurance of a successful event.

How much is the deposit and when is final payment due?

We require a $125 deposit with the signed agreement to reserve your date.  The total
fee for our service will be in this agreement. The balance is due two weeks prior to the
date of your event. You are welcome to pay this balance in advance, by payments or
in full on the date of our performance.  We will gladly accept check, cash, money order
or credit card payment online through Paypal. Taking care of these details in advance
works well for most clients and we are happy to discuss any method you prefer.

Top

Is tipping/gratuity appropriate?

Tipping/gratuity is not mandatory or expected.  Recognizing the value and extensive
effort made, many clients occasionally tip or provide a bonus.  Should you feel we have
surpassed your expectations and wish to tip, it will be accepted graciously as the
highest compliment from a satisfied customer.

Top

Should we provide a meal for the DJ?

This is your option and by no means expected.  For a normal 4-hour event we could be
in that location nearly 6 hours.  (Including load-in and load-out time) Should you choose
to provide a meal for the DJ, the convenience is warmly appreciated.

If you plan to do this, we only ask that you let us know in advance so that other
arrangements are not made.

We suggest you not include us in your count, as in most cases there is a guest absent or
extra food prepared.
